Here's a run down of the matches we played:

MATCH 1: We started at home to Stoke Green winning by 8 wickets thanks mainly to Gerry Bowyer 71 n.o. and Andrew McKersie 35 n.o. chasing a score of 140.

MATCH 2: away at Chalfont St. Peter. I lost the toss, they put us into bat and we made 170-4. Fifties for John Midlane and Glen Plowman, we could not get the last man out, they finished on 91-9, Dave Thornley pick of the bowlers 4-29.

MATCH 3: Thame away. A long way away, they batted first scoring 201-6 off 56 overs, we finished on 137-6 thanks mainly to Glen Plowman 72 n.o..

MATCH 4: the best game so far, Wooburn Narkovians. They won the toss and batted scoring 165-9, we came close needing 7 off the last over, we managed 5 leaving us on 164-4. Good knocks from S. Christy 37 n.o., Glen Plowman 39, and William Midlane a quick-fire 57.

MATCH 5: Bledlow Ridge at home we batted first and scored 185-5, Glen Plowman 46, Gerry Mills 32 and Glen Plowman 32. Bledlow won off the last over 188-4.

MATCH 6: Chorleywood at home. Chorleywood batted first scoring 176 all out. Simon Wigmore taking 5- 60. We never managed to get anywhere near it, scoring 137-4. John Midlane batted through the innings on 55 n.o..

MATCH 7: Polytechnic another home game. Taplow batted first scoring 201-5, Gerry Bowyer batted brilliantly to score 96. Polytechnic finishing on 145-9, the wickets were shared about, Jonathan Kellett taking 2 for 29, A. Lavender 2 for 23.

MATCH 8: Northwood Town away. Facing a very young side we were put into bat. We reached 222-5, Andrew McKersie smashing the bowling attack to all parts of the ground, 101 n.o.. Northwood Town finished on 143-5. Mark Green taking two excellent catches.

MATCH 9: North Maidenhead away. I won the toss and put North Maidenhead into bat. They scored 188-6 at tea. We came out and nearly won it needing 11 off the last over. We only managed 9! Good efforts from Gerry Mills (60) and Gerry Bowyer (56). Final score 187-5.

MATCH 10: Littlewick Green at home. Taplow batted first scoring 187-2. Gerry Bowyer unlucky not to get his hundred, out on 98 and Glen Plowman 48 n.o.. Litllewick never in the running, finished on 146-8.

MATCH 11: Burnham at home. Again Taplow batted first scoring 189-6. A fine knock of 70 from Gerry Bowyer and Glen Plowman 34. Burnham held on thanks mainly to late comer and former Taplow player Tim King scoring over half their runs. They got 100-9.

MATCH 12: Holyport away. Bit of a dodgy wicket, so I put them into bat however they somehow reached 159-9 at tea. Simon Wigmore taking 5 wickets. We lost Gerry Bowyer within a couple of overs. Then pulled it back to 71-2, Gerry Mills was then out for 47. The rest of us collapsed to 128 all out.

MATCH 13: Chenies & Latimer away. I lost the toss, we were put into bat managed a total of 172-6. Top scorers Simon Christy 39, John Midlane 30. Chenies then looked like coasting home on 70 without loss. Simon Goodrham bowling his best spell all season 16-3-51-2 and Simon Wigmore 13-1-45-6 holding them back to 154-9.

MATCH 14: Littlewick Green at home again. Taplow batted first making 209-4, John Clark 81 n.o. and Glen Plowman 67. Littlewick then knocked them off easily, Mr. "Seven lives" Elsam 80 odd, winning by 8 wickets.

MATCH 15: Cookham Dean away rearranged match, Taplow batting first 201-9, Gerry Bowyer 59, Glen Plowman 47. Cookham Dean 164-9.

MATCH 16: S.G.I. Playing a very weak side, I batted first we reached our highest score of the season 232-5. Michael Lavender scoring his first fifty for the club, Gerry Bowyer 35 and a quick 65 from Andy mills. We bowled them out for 106, Jon Wrapson taking 4-34.

MATCH 17: Old Latymerians at home, playing against EIGHT men, we batted first making 209-3, Gerry Mills 70, Gerry Bowyer 65 and Derek Newman 37 n.o.. Latymerians made 128.

MATCH 18: Old Pals away. Facing a very strong side, I put them into bat they scored a quick 196-6. We made our lowest total 58-8. A game in which we should have lost, but for David "Boycott" Vincent, 11 n.o. facing 88 balls.

MATCH 19: Flackwell Heath home. Taplow batting first scoring 203-3, Gerry Bowyer 81, Gerry Mills 44 not out and Andrew McKersie 38 n.o.. Flackwell Heath all out for 77.

MATCH 20: I.C.I. away. Taplow again batting first reaching 161-7, Simon Goodrham top scoring with 32 not out. I.C.I. ending on 105-7, Ian Kinrade making a rare appearance took 3-42 off 19 overs.

MATCH 21: Datchet at home, Datchet batting first scored a big total 245-7, Taplow never really in with a chance finished on 114-8. Gerry Bowyer 34, and Brian Wells - WELCOME BACK!! - saving the day on 25 not out.
